As I've mentioned before, a big reason for starting this blog was to "scrapbook" without the paper. I don't feel like I've done a very good job of that, but like I've said in the past, I guess something is better than nothing.
Since I've been in another blogging slump, and with a whole year of Rowan behind us, I decided to go back and read ALL our blog posts. What's the point of a scrapbook if I don't ever look at the pages? Do any of you other bloggers do this?
It took a while, and was kind of strange. I liked it though. It was fun to look back on the past year or so and see what was going on. I noticed that a lot of the stuff we're going through right now {expecting #2} is very similar to our experiences the first time around. A lot of my horse worries are exactly the same, go figure. Re-reading my breastfeeding issues was a little depressing, knowing I'll be going through that again. Hopefully this time, being a seasoned vet, will make it a little easier. There were a few reminders of "to dos" that never got done. And seeing things like the driveway, kitchen, and outlets go in reminded me that they weren't always there!
Absolutely, I'm glad to have the posts about Rowan. It's hard to remember everything, so being able to go back and see/read about his progress, quirky moments, struggles, and triumphs is really special.
I still wish I could be better at capturing more these things, since I know there was so much more to the last year than what I posted. Maybe I'll get it right this year....HA!
