I still cannot believe my little Cid is three years old.  Where is my baby boy?

Oh yea, you're still here, because while you're growing up, you're also refusing to grow up. In the most rebellious effort your mellow 'tude can muster, you are trying soooo hard to be the baby.

Its cuddles, giggles, and "uppies" for you.

Speen and Giraffi are still your number 1 and number 2.

Doesn't matter to you that Brother is moving on to big kid shows like Pokémon and "Power Ninjas"  (Power Rangers).  You're your own kind of cool.   You like Thomas and Barbie.  That's right.  You don't give two hoots about gender stereotypes or what's trending.

But even in your anti-establishment streak, you are very, very sweet. I say "Cid, do you need to go pee?"  You say, "Um, no thank you, Mommy.  I'm fine".  Then you pee through your pants and all over the floor....if I'm lucky.

Your vocabulary has EXPLODED.  You turned into a real chatterbox, much to Rowan's dismay. He gets upset because he thinks you're always talking over him. In reality, he just never shuts up, so its hard not to talk over him now and then.

My favorite Cid-isms right now?

"Bwee-membuhhh".   In context:  "No, Mommy, you said I get a chocwhat cookie.  Bwee-membuhhh?"

And "HotDonald's". You love their chicken nuggets, apple slices, and ketchup  (you are your daddy's son).

And "I pwomiss".  You promise what?  "I pwomiss, Mommy!"

And "Even I do it by all myself"

And"Thanks, Duuuude."

And so many other Cidisms.  I wish I could capture them all.

You love your doggie, Domino and your horse, Shasta.  You don't care for too many other animals, except ducks...of course.  They'll always hold a place in your heart.

Your favorite game is Wolf Are You Coming?, which you learned at Grandma's preschool last visit.
You are the perfect combination of athletic powerhouse-daredevil and sweet, shy little guy.

One thing is for sure, and that is that we are wildly crazy for you.

Love,
Mom

  1. Very wildly crazy for you? I loved when your hair was so long you would sit so still for me to put it in a ponytail and afterwards give me that adorable handsome "dreaded pirate Roberts" grin!
